New to the area and wanted to treat myself for my Babyshower. I called ahead to see if there was availability and was happy to learn there was. Wanted an almond ombré nail with extra bling on my natural nail since they are (were) long enough with a pedicure. I also wanted dipping powder since it’s healthier and doesn’t require much filing as an gel or acrylic. Anyways while the lady proceeded to do my nails, she ignored my request to keep my length and oval. My nails are circular and was filed on my cuticle leaving obvious gaps. The worst being my left thumb. She then proceeds to switch to another client (which is normal) and has a younger lady finish my nails with a top coast ignoring my other design request. When i objected and asked for the older lady to fix my nails she tells me “No, they are fine.” They we’re not fine and it’s not what i wanted. I was stuck in my feelings as I’m 8 months pregnant, close to 6ft tall and knew if I was to get “too emotional” could be seen as a “threat “. My voice and WANT as a customer was literally ignored to the point I begged for them to fix the worst nail which was my thumb on the left hand. Reluctantly they did but this was by far my worst experience. If what i was asking was too much, that could have been complicated. Didn’t even bother getting a pedicure or extras
I don't usually do this. But I work hard for my money and I'm tired of experimenting with East Lansing nail salons just for their best efforts. I went to this salon a few days ago with a reference picture of how I wanted my nails to look. The polish she put on was way thinner than the picture. The work she was doing looked as if I could do a better job myself with a few bottles of nail polish from Rite Aid. Knowing that if I didn't speak up I would be paying for a job I wasn't satisfied with I politely asked if we could switch to something different. I pulled up a new picture of a pink tone French tip with glitter on the tips...simple... she then proceeded to put on two pink tones all over my nail and brushed glitter on the tips. Which looks NOTHING Like the picture I showed her. She charge me $45 and because she provided a service I tipped her.
Also this is not my first time at the shop. If you look at the pictures posted by the salon my nails are the pink white and silver nails. You may think they look fine in the picture but as the person who had to walk around with those nails the lack of cleanliness of their lines plus how crooked the nails were was the reason I haven't been back in years.
If you want a basic shape and color that you could get from any nail salon I recommend going to any salon. However if you would like clean designs or a trendy style this is not the place I recommend you give your money to. Trust me you will be disappointed.
They did an amazing job on my nails today! I am extremely happy with my nail art. The two ladies that helped me and my daughter today are so kind and patient.
My daughter and I have been going to Beautiful Nail's for YEARS and have always enjoyed our visit! We have told friends, family and anyone who makes comments on how Beautiful they are... What I have experienced in the salon with some of these 1 star forks, is they are expecting a $100 treatment for $38. The people at Beautiful Nail's are hard working (they are Always Busy), and try to accommodate everyone's wants! We will continue to go here.
I’ve been to Beautiful nails numerous times and they usually do alright. However, last time I went I got a full set of acrylics with shellac and they did not meet my expectations at all. The shellac did not even cover the acrylic nail, and the acrylic didn’t go down to the bottom of my nail beds either, so they looked far overgrown , even though I just had them done. When I asked to have them fixed, even if it was just the shellac covering the parts of my nails the acrylic didn’t to save time/not be too much of an inconvenience for them, they refused and told me I would have to entirely pay $35 for a fill. On top of that, they handled this situation in a very unprofessional manner by raising voices, talking amongst other workers about me, my nails, and made me feel uncomfortable since a scene was caused over something I felt was an easy fix. I left, and had to go to another salon to get them fixed 4-5 days later because they looked 2 weeks old. I will not be returning.
I am posting this review based on my experience with customer service! I called and asked if they took walk ins, they said they'd fit me in if I came.. they were super busy but still fit me in. The man who did my pedicure had the best customer service. I asked to not have the hot towel and he asked me why and I explained my sensitivity in my feet. He said if I wanted to try he would cool off the towel for me... he brought then over and called them off and made sure they were a good temp for me. He was extremely nice and accommodating.
Color wheels are faded so the color you pick is nothing like the actual paint color. They left big chunks of acrylic under my nail, cut my nails too short and all different lengths. Also nothing like the shape I asked for. They are very thick and the ends are oddly all curved instead of straight across. Very unhappy with my experience.
Where do I begin? I absolutely love Beautiful Nails. I walked in one day on a whim to get my eyebrows done. That was over two and a half years ago and I will never let anyone but Nancy do my eyebrows ever again. I was also getting regular manicures and the occasional pedicure up until COVID-19 hit. I miss the salon and everyone there. I tell everyone who will listen about how wonderful this place is, and several of my friends are now regulars as well. I can not recommend this place enough!
